From winning gold, to losing it. To impacting numerous companies and then losing her career in them, Larissa Domindez has many highs and lows in her career. In a exclusive interview, we talk with the "Faithful" Larissa Domindez, and talk about her journey in wrestling entertainment and her loss at TKS Revelations.
TMZ : Larissa Domindez, it is a pleasure to have you in the studio, how are you?
Larissa : Hello, its an honor to be here. Thank you for having and honestly, I am so happy believe it or not.
TMZ : It is hard to believe because we know how you hard you fought at TKS Revelations. And unfortunately not only you lost your match, you lost your job. How are you feeling after what transpired?
Larissa : It's funny you mentioned that, and you aren't the first person who has asked me that question. Actually, I had a strange feeling that my time was coming, it's hard to put it into words but I feel like I did enough. Meaning I feel as though I did everything that I could to make this experience different for myself based on the materials I was given to work with. And what I mean by that is, the generation or should I say the era I was placed in was not as big as what it is today. And we put in a lot of effort to make it the show to watch.
So to answer your question, I did not lose my job. I only lost the title of being a TKS Siren. I am a free agent, which means I can end up anywhere, at anytime. I am content with it, and I am coping with it well. I have already solidified myself as one of the longest reigning TKS Sirens World Champion. Also, the woman who got injured and came back stronger that always brought the fight.
TMZ : Speaking about the TKS Sirens World Championship, let’s talk about your reign. We all know you won it from Julinana but also, you lost it when Julianna came back to the company. And that kinda what kicked off your rivalry with Santana. What was your experience with Julianna and that feud?
Larissa : Julianna is a smart woman, she knows how to strategize when it comes to her opponents, or when she has an agenda. She is always thinking ahead. She is tuff and no one truly understands that she is crazy on the inside behind her resting face. The experience was hard, you have to look over your shoulder a lot, but eventually you get use to it. I actually respect her because, what she put me threw, made me into the woman I am today! Not giving up and walking away, standing up for what's right no matter what the consequences maybe. But, I still don't like for sending Rachel to attack me in the hospital. But that is water under the bridge. However, I knew Santana was out to get me from the get go. The moment she saw me as champion, she realized I was not going to play teachers pet with her. She knew she made a mistake bringing me in. Which caused the downfall at Axis of Powers and my one minute match on episode one this year.
I mean hey, looking back its embarrassing but its funny too. Longest Reigning champion, who did not really beat the champion at the time, but also lost the title in under a minute from the former champion. It has a nice ring to it, I guess you can place me in my own category of being a special champion.
TMZ : I can say you are in a category of your own. And in that category, you are the first to hold the TKS Sirens World Championship and the Empress Championship in CTO. Speaking of, you had quite the successful career in CTO. Though, people would say everything you got in CTO was thanks to Aaron.
Larissa : It’s funny, people say that because I got onto Fortune after Valerie left. I got in, now it may not have aired but people know I was selected. I trained alone, and he so happened to be a guy I ran into in the parking lot. We chatted and then we became friends and of course lovers. But one thing that landed him that spot was because he has character and is someone who shift the tides and atmosphere when he steps into the building. Whether it be good or bad. I’ll give it to him, it’s pure entertainment. And to clarify again, when he stepped out of line in CTO, I confronted him. Even before I got signed because, anything he did effected me. And everyone blamed me and I got negative feedback which caused people to not like me. When he owned Voltage, I specifically asked him and the board of directors that if I was to be drafted I did not want anything to do with Voltage. For that simply reason, everyone thinks I only got things because of him. I would be damned if any man was the reason I got to where I am today. As a woman, I did everything on my own, without any assistance and that will never change. So I would like people to stop placing me in a category of a damsel in distress who needs a man to provide for her. Because I had everything I needed before Aaron and I still have my own if not better things without him. Anything that was his was either given back to him, thrown at him, auctioned or sold back to the state. All my paperwork is set and done and I have no ties to him. That’s why a prenup is always important.
TMZ : What has been some of the highlights of your wrestling career?
Larissa : Being apart of the second generation of wrestlers. There are a few highlights which are; winning the title, becoming the longest reigning and then losing it. But those to me aren’t the major highlights. The biggest highlight for me personally was debuting in TKS. No one saw it coming and I got a welcoming reaction from the universe. I will never forget that day. If I could go back and relive it, trust me I would. And another one would have to be my injury. I got injured once for a similar reason and I was afraid of getting shelved. But this time, I took it for what it was and instead of being on recovery for months, I took it upon myself to come back early without any consent and dive in head first. Big opportunities don’t come twice, and it was a test for me. I asked myself; "Do I want to just sit here and let time pass me by? Or am I going to take it by force and do what I need to do". And that’s what I did.
TMZ : With the closing of CTO and you’re not apart of TKS, what’s next for you?
Larissa : For now, VACATION! I am in dire need of a serious relaxation time for myself. And that’s what I’m going to do. But as for what’s new with my career, I don't know yet. I am being spontaneous and I’m just going with the flow. So at any time, I’ll pop up somewhere else. Or even on a reality tv show, or hell, even in a movie. You just have to wait.
TMZ : Well, we wish you nothing but the best of luck with whatever you shall do. Wrapping things up here, and final thoughts you would like to say?
Larissa : All I have to say is, to those who keep doubting me, I hope you will realize that you have made a mistake. To those who have comments to say, negative at that, just remember karma is always ready to bite someone in the ass. Just keep that in mind.
TMZ : Well Larissa, thank you so much for being here. It was a pleasure having you and taking a look back on your phenomenal career. And we know you’re just getting started. Take care.
