Alisha Jenay was born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee with her mother and father. She graduated from Tennessee State University and got her degree in nursing before pursuing a wrestling career. She began training at the age of 22 and made her indie debut when she was 23. She has previously been signed to CTO and is currently working for Fame Wrestling and HEX Wrestling .
TMZ : It’s Vincent Valentino from TMZ and we will be having another "Get To Know" interview today! Our guest will be the "Southern Belle" we all know and love, Alisha Jenay! Alisha, how are you doing today?
Alisha : Awwww, bless your pea pickin' heart darling. I’m doing just dandy on this wonderful day and how are you sugar plum?
TMZ : I’m doing great as well, thanks for asking. Anyways, shall we jump straight into this?
Alisha : The last time I jumped straight into something, I was skinny dipping with one of my exes. But that’s for another time. Let’s get this going sunshine.
TMZ : Hilarious! Anyways, you grew up in Tennessee, obviously from that strong accent of yours. How was it just growing up in such a state like that.
Alisha : Honestly, I love Tennessee. It’s so me! You know we got the farms and chickens and the cows, but we also got NASCAR. Oh golly, I love me some NASCAR. Something about a man driving cars really gets my engine roaring. Oh but pardon me sugar, I’m getting ahead of myself.
TMZ : You’re fine, you’re fine. From the looks of it, you seem to be a major country girl and it makes me wonder, was it easy for you to adapt to the city once you got to the wrestling business?
Alisha : Oh heavens no. I hate the city. You see, back on papa’s farm, I have my own horse named Rhapsody. Oh how I miss him so bad. I miss the country, it’s just so open and free. And the city is filled with rich uptight hussies who think I won’t ram the tip of my boot into their throat. I do apologize for being so violent. A lady should never conduct herself in a such a manner.
TMZ : ...Violence. I don’t condone such a thing but I’ll let that slide. So, we are aware that you’re a graduate of Tennessee State University for nursing, what inspired you to become a women’s wrestler even after getting a college degree?
Alisha: Ok so growing up, I use to mud wrestle with all my cousins and friends. Rachel was never into it so she never did it. But I actually went to a local wrestling show my senior year of college and I enjoyed it so much that i decided this is something I’d like to try. And I loved it so, I stuck with it.
TMZ : That sounds eventful! Now, we could move deeper into your wrestling career. So what can we expect from you in the future with you being a signee of FAME and also HEX?
Alisha : Oh sweet cheeks, I’m here to take over. I’ve sat back and watched people who can’t hold a candle to my in ring ability, become something before me. I’ve had a lot of setbacks in my career, but I’m done being nice and waiting for my turn. I’m gonna take what I deserve. I deserve to be the face of FAME and HEX. I will be the face of FAME and HEX. And anyone who has problem with it can kiss my rhinestone lucchese boots.
TMZ : With that being said do you have any dream matches that you’ll like to take place soon?
Alisha : I’d honestly love to fight my sister Rachel. You see, she’s made it big time. She’s won titles and put on some legendary matches. It’d be amazing to beat her. I’d also definitely want to fight Larissa, Tesla, and Vixen.
TMZ : All four are wonderful competitors, so I guarantee any of these matches would be interesting. What’s your main goal that you would want to accomplish before you retire?
Alisha : I want to be able to look back on my career and be proud. I want to be someone that is talked about years later because they made a difference. I want to go down in the history books. I want people to remember what I did and how I did it.
TMZ : That’s a good way to put it. Now no offense at all Alisha, but you’re known for being in drama including Twitter wars or even your never ending grudge against Ricardo Makaveli. Why is it that you’ve been known for a lot of drama?
Alisha : Ummmmmm well buttercup, I really don’t understand. A lot of women say that I’m only famous for being Ricardo’s girlfriend, but I think they are just upset they were never with him. Also, I don’t hate Kendrick even though I have a metal plate in my mouth because of him. I’d actually consider us to be working towards a new relationship. I mean, he honestly wants me back and he just thinks he wants Cantaloupe Romanoff. Or whatever her name is. You know the other night he invited me over and tried his hardest to get in my daisy dukes, but I’m a classy lady and I could never allow him to do. Although, I need give him some of my nana's famous peach cobbler.
TMZ : Off topic but, I love peach cobbler too! My mother makes the best. Now I have one last question to wrap this up. Do you have any regrets from your past regarding all of the drama?
Alisha : I regret that people have seen me in such a negative light. I’m not a bad person and I hate to be seen as one. I want all of us to succeed and be great stars, especially us females who struggle to make it in this male dominated industry. Us gals gotta stick together. Also, you need to try my peach cobbler and see who’s is the best....
