"Hi, my name is Elena Brooklyn! My big personality was brought up and raise in Providence Rhode Island. I’ve been a wrestling fan since I was a kid growing up. My father was really into wrestling, he loved Ric Flair and would glorify him for his flashy ways, beautiful watches, and countless women around him. Besides wrestling, I couldn't relate with him. I just knew he was into materialistic things. He left my mom for a younger woman when I was in high school. My father made the money back then but when he left, my mother picked herself up and made a life for herself In NYC. Since then, I told myself I’d never let a man treat me the way my mother let my father treat her.
I was discovered at the mall by a scouting agent to start modeling. I did some club flyers, calendars and networking. Meeting men in the entertainment business with flashy cars and beautiful women around them just like my father. I hated it! I got bored of just modeling. Then, I met a man named Harvey. We would always have deep talks and he told me I should do what I love. To chase my dreams and he paid for my wrestling training back in 2012. Since then, I’ve trained off and on, and traveled the world with Harvey. We still keep in contact, he’s my backbone.
From 2014 to 2016, i went back to modeling on Instagram since social media had a big spark. I started modeling for different boutiques and making money from it. I love money but, that got boring again. So, I laced up my boots started training again late 2016 and I went public with my wrestling early this year. And this time, I’m sticking to it. I have a great support system and I’m ready to shine."
Elena made her ROX debut this year, but shortly was released from the company. She has a match against Gin Cruise at the upcoming event "Rookie vs Veterans".
TMZ : Well Elena, like majority of people we have for our “Get To Know” segment, you are already sky rocketing to popularity! How does that feel?
Elena : Must start off by thanking you. You're smart by having #TheFinesse here for a few. I love that! And aww, my popularity is no where I want it to be. But, the support I've been receiving has been heartwarming, it feels great!
TMZ : How has your training been so far? We've seen you post numerous pictures and videos of you training almost everyday.
Elena : Ooh, I wake up and take a bump out of bed! I’ve been honestly working my ass off. I’ve learned so many new things, creating my move-set that I can not wait to showcase! I love sharing my life with my supporters. I was a former Instagram model so, It's natural for me to engage and share on social media. And also networking to collect those checks.
TMZ : So did being a model give you the transition to become a professional wrestler?
Elena : Well, I’ve always loved wrestling. But being an Instagram model and YouTuber made sense at the time. Lots of networking.....I got into the business, made a lot of money and met amazing wealthy people. I got to travel! Always went to wrestling events and people would tell me I should do this. My life was great but, it got boring. And I had a burning desire to wrestle. So, I went with it.
TMZ : As you may know, a lot of women and some men in this business are former models that turned into wrestlers. And some of them accomplishing so much. What do you want to accomplish in wrestling? Any dream matches, companies you’d like to be in. Any gold in sight?
Elena : Yes, a lot of them were just models making money! They transitioned into wrestling because. they have a passion for wrestling. I want to be the best when I’m in the ring. I want to own the show and I won’t allow anyone steal my spotlight. I’ve never thought of a dream match or a dream opponent but, I know where I want to have it. And that’s in FaM! I have to have some great matches and finesse my way to the top. Also, CTO, I’m available!
TMZ : Well a dream match I can think for you that is coming true is you and Gin Cruise. How are you feeling as that match is coming closer and closer?
Elena : I feel so honored that she challenged me! She's so respected in this business. She’s FaM's Diamond Champion! I’ve become close with Gin, we'd talk everyday and she even helped me with my training. She took me under her wing. But then.......she dropped me. mid She even ruined my moment at my debut match on ROX. So at Rookies vs Veterans...........it’s over for her!
TMZ : So, there is some animosity there? But, you must be under a lot of pressure. Just think about it, you a rookie, defeating a well known wrestler around the women’s division everywhere. And not only that, but the FaM, Diamond Champion. This could lead to numerous opportunities for you.
Elena : It’s a huge opportunity and I’m well aware. There is a lot of pressure on me but, I thrive off of it. I’m prepared, I have the skills, I have the brains, and honey, look I've positioned myself into this spotlight. And I can’t wait to see "Rookie, Elena Brooklyn beats FaM Diamond Champion, Gin Cruise! I believe that I will defeat her and gain everyone’s respect. When I do, definitely more opportunities will follow!
TMZ : Well, we do wish you the best with that and everything else that's coming up in your career. Any last remarks?
Elena : Thank you so much for having me, I appreciate it. But, I’m sure you’ll want me back once I embezzle Gin's career and move on to take this business. And I'm gonna make it mine.
