Aaron Silvers has been wrestling since the age of 18. But started his training since he was 14. Now the 28 year old is starting to get his big break ever since wrestling in companies and events like: CTO, IKON, and soon, Fight Night : Battalion. Aaron grew up in Detroit, Michigan with his mother and grandmother. Silver's family was going through money issues and Aaron wanted to provide for them, thus; he began his training to become a wrestler. His family did not know he was becoming a wrestler at the time and still does not know till this day. In high school, Silvers started to participate in sports while looking for promotions to wrestle at. He put sports as he back up plan if wrestling didn't work out. Which almost didn't due to him shattering his left knee in a football accident.
TMZ : So after shattering your knee, how long did it take you to get back in the ring?
Aaron : Well... After rehabbing the knee, it took about, I want to say 3 to 4 month I stepped back in the ring against a friend in a small indy place not well known of course. My leg bugged me Abit but I fought through the pain but my life playing football for my high school was over.. which made me a bit depressed
TMZ : Before we started the interview and we were talking, you talked about another set back in the beginning of your wrestling career. Who is Monica?
Aaron : Most know who she was to me... Some don't so I guess this is where they can learn more about me... So here it is; Monica was my first love, my first girlfriend. She was nicest person I've ever met in my life. I first met her in middle school, seventh grade I believe. You know, most people think that I wasn't bullied because of how I look but they're wrong. I was bullied non-stop with no end in sight...Monica was always there for me, she was always someone I could turn to when life was hard...But, not all things were meant to last. At the age of 17 when, she just turned 18 senior year, her and I went out with her friends and a drunk driver was on the wrong side of the road..... *Looks up trying not to cry* The driver hit her friend's car head on and she died on impact......
I don't remember much of the accident...All I do know is waking up in a hospital bed. Out of the five years of my life I will never get back. Two of them I spent in a medical induce coma. And three years of physical therapy....
Skipping ahead, when I got everything back on track, her dad calls me to tell me something I'll never forget. Her dad found a pregnancy test in the trash in her bathroom....*let's out a small sadden chuckle* Kendrick and others I've became friends with don't know this part...She was 2 weeks pregnant when she died...So that's when I made a promise to make my life mean something. And not just for her but, for our kid...
TMZ : Well, let’s fast forward to now. You’re somewhat new on the scene. and no one really knows you yet. And like everyone else that’s new, you’re trying to make it. How will you do that exactly?
Aaron : How? Well if I have to I'll take it by force, if I have to end someone's career then I will... And someone will probably say "oh why would you do that?" Well here is the why, that promise I talked about last question... All that matters is that promise and my future, the only time I'll stop will be when I'm unable to move laying in the middle of that ring or that I'm six feet under...
TMZ : Well, do you think you’re making a breakthrough in wrestling as of late?
Aaron : Well, all I can say is only time will tell. But, IKON is just the start.
TMZ : Well, I know this is the true start of your career and I hope you do have that breakthrough soon. As we wrap up things I have some final questions.
What is your dream match. And what opportunities would you like in CAW? Titles, companies to be in, anything along those lines?
Aaron : Well my dream match is to face my friend Kendrick, title or not. Titles? Well, the CTO World title maybe and the Global title at some point. And, I am in talks with a few companies but I'm keeping those to myself.
TMZ : Well we’re at the closing of this interview, I’m glad we got to know more about you. And we will be keeping an eye out for you and everything you do in wrestling. Is there anything else you’d like to say?
Aaron : *smiles* Nope.
